During the Group A match of the Asia Cup against India in Kandy on Saturday, Pakistan’s left-arm pacer, Shaheen Shah Afridi, notched up his 250th international wicket, marking a significant milestone in his career.
This remarkable accomplishment places him in illustrious company, as he becomes the third Pakistani cricketer to achieve this feat, joining the ranks of legendary bowlers Waqar Younis and Saqlain Mushtaq.
What’s even more astonishing is that Shaheen is the seventh bowler globally to reach this milestone before the age of 24. His potent combination of blistering pace, pinpoint accuracy, and prodigious swing has made him a formidable adversary for batsmen worldwide.
In the same match against India, Shaheen demonstrated his prowess by taking a four-wicket haul, dismissing Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Hardik Pandya, and Ravindra Jadeja, and sending them back to the pavilion.
