Questions Answers
Q: Give a brief description of the night coach.
The poet describes the Night Mail as a living being. The coach travels all night and brings letters, parcels, gifts and cheques for people around the country. It reaches the bungalows, the slums, the shops and above all the loving heart of the girl. The coach is punctual. She neighs like a horse. At times the Night Mail shows temper. Perhaps she did not like the grass bending its head down. She expresses this anger by emitting heavy sound like that of snorting.
